The Epic Mancave Hosts Its First Supper Club: Fine Dining Meets Fun Under the Stars

Outdoor evening Supper Club Party at the Epic Creative Co-Op

Most folks who rent the Epic Mancave are looking to throw informal parties—think birthday bashes, family reunions, and corporate team-building events. So when Jorden Dolan, Master Chef and owner of Savory – Luxury Catering + Event Productions, asked to host a formal “Supper Club Party,” my first thought was – “What the hell is a Supper Club” (can you tell I was raised in Brooklyn?)”

What in the World is a Supper Club?

For those like me who thought a supper club was just a fancy way to say, “dinner with friends,” Jorden explained that it’s a unique dining experience that combines the best of a restaurant with the cozy vibe of a social club. Picture leisurely dining where you can actually hear your friends over the clanking of silverware and typical restaurant noise—revolutionary, right?

Bringing California Vibes to Houston

Jorden, a California transplant, was used to supper clubs being as common as avocado toast. Not so much in Houston! So, she decided to launch “The Woodlands Supper Club” and put her culinary and business skills to the test. I mean, if anyone could make it happen, it was Jorden—she could probably whip up a five-course meal using only a microwave and some leftover takeout.

A Vision That Sparked My Interest

When I asked Jorden what she had in mind, she laid out an ambitious plan (actually sketched it out on paper) that made my head spin faster than my blender on high:

– **Outdoor Setting**: Large tables set out in the field, complete with beautiful place settings and overhead string lights. Because nothing says “classy” like eating under twinkling lights while dodging the occasional mosquito!

– **Live Music**: A talented guitarist serenading diners instead of your average Bluetooth speaker blaring pop hits. I mean, who wouldn’t want to enjoy their meal with some smooth acoustic tunes?

– **Premium Beverages**: An outdoor bar serving wine, beer, and champagne. Because let’s be honest—what’s dinner without some bubbly?

– **Artistic Flair**: An artist capturing the event in plein air style. Yes, that’s right—someone was there painting while we dined! Talk about class!

– **Outdoor Kitchen**: A tented outdoor kitchen staffed by a full-service crew, including a Commis Chef and Prep Cook. If only my cooking skills were half as impressive!

Weather Woes? No Problem!

I reminded Jorden that she wasn’t in California anymore; this is Houston, where we have heat, humidity, mosquitoes the size of small birds, and rain that can come out of nowhere. But she brushed off my concerns like they were crumbs from her apron. Her confidence was contagious—I couldn’t help but agree to rent her the property.

A Night to Remember

Fast forward to the event: I’m writing this the day after (still in a slight food coma). Everything turned out just as Jorden had envisioned! The weather was so perfect it would make even a native Californian jealous. Guests were laughing, mingling, and enjoying themselves. Everyone said they were looking forward to the next Woodlands Supper Club event.

Meet the Dream Team

I am often asked for recommendations for vendors, and I asked Jorden if she would share her preferred vendor list with me. Behind this culinary masterpiece was an incredible crew that included:
